Kevin Youkilis was pulled from Monday’s game after getting hit by a pitch in his shoulder blade.
Youkilis was 0-for-1 before being replaced at the first base bag by pinch-runner Yamaico Navarro. The third baseman was able to walk off the field under his own power and shouldn’t miss a ton of time. With the Red Sox down big early, Youk’s exit was probably a precautionary measure

In other news: Pedroia is batting clean-up, which definitely gives him MUST START status.
